Escorting a stranger [O] [S] 3-4 Cytgord members

Carwyn kept leading her to the area that the pack was currently residing in. It was basically a straight path from where they were to here, they just had to cross the river first. Once the reached the edge of the forest her turned to her, looking at her with kind eyes. ''It's okay, it will be fine.'' He was just trying to reassure her if she felt scared or anything.

He started walking into the forest, stopping once he got in a few metres. As soon as he was there he pulled his head back and howled, calling any willing pack members. He didn't need them all, only some of them, but he hoped, at least, three or four would come. He stayed at the edge of the woods so that if she felt she wanted to leave, she could. Merah was obviously vulnerable right now since she was weak, but he didn't want to harm her or take advantage of her weakness in any way. In fact, he just wanted to recruit her.

''They should be here soon.'' He said to her, still not daring to look at her. ''Are you angry with me?'' He asked, hoping for an honest answer from her. If she wasn't going to be honest with him he didn't care, but he thought she was angry with him. However, he could be wrong and - as he knew - he was no mind reader.

As they walked Carwyn said everything was fine, and he smiled at her. Merah looked at him and simply nodded her head, but in her mind many thoughts raced around. Had she been stupid for following him and coming here? And she didn't need his sweet words, she could take care of herself, right? So many thoughts that actually didn't really go well one another. Merah appeared calm and collected but in fact she was not, though, she did try to keep herself calm by telling herself it would be fine. It would be fine, right?


They stopped and Carwyn howled, probably calling for his pack mates. Merah stood there silently as she watched him. After he was done howling he said they could be here any moment and she nodded, eyeing him carefully.
And then he asked her if she was angry with him. Merah have him a confused look. Why would she be angry with him? ''No, I'm not.'' she simply said.
''How many members do you have?'' Merah then asked him, curious now. She wondered how big his pack was, if he really had a pack. Though, he had called for them, hadn't he? So Carwyn really must be a leader. She felt slightly more at easy, but still not completely. ''How many males and females?''

Merah responded to his question and then asked a few of her own, a few which he found rather easy to answer. Only because he kept track of everyone, just so he knew the most he could about his pack. ''Eight. Seven males, one female.'' He said to her, hoping she would not mock his small pack size. ''As I said, we've just started out, so we're still recruiting and rather small.''

Rhys was just wandering around when he heard the call of his alpha ringing through the woodland. His howl echoed around everywhere, filling the air with a wonderful sound. Rhys pulled his head back to join in, creating a chorus for a short while before Carwyn cut off, but still the medic continued his howl. After a short while, he too cut himself off and began to walk quicker and towards where Carwyn was.

Once he arrived, he noticed that there was another wolf with his alpha, a white one. He walked over, tail wagging and his eyes bright. ''Hey, Carwyn. Why'd you call for us?'' He asked the wolf, smiling brightly.
''Hi, I'm Rhys.'' He said to the white female, not yet noticing her red eyes.

Carwyn told her there were eight wolves; seven males and one female. Wow, only one female? The poor thing must have it rough, being among so many males! Merah gave him a sad look, she wanted to meet this female and talk to her. How come there were so many males and yet so less females? Carwyn said the pack had only just started, ever since wolves started entering this valley, probably. It seemed like a young place, with not many wolves yet. But there would come more eventually, she knew.


''You're still recruiting...'' Merah whispered, more to herself as she let the words roll around in her thoughts. She could make her own decisions, she was not forced to join their pack. She could go wherever she pleased. If Carwyn thought he could make her interested in the pack by letting her meet some members, then he was wrong; there was a lot more needed to get Merah to feel interested in anything. After all she was a careful and cautious being, ever since she realized trusting too much and too soon was a bad thing.


After a bit a wolf arrived, a male. Merah guessed he was part of the pack, and the wolf went over to Carwyn to ask him why he had been summoned, before his eyes fell on Merah. And he greeted her, and told her his name was Rhys. Merah nodded her head in a greeting, mumbling as she felt a bit insecure, ''Hi. Merah.''

Note: I will put in another character of mine later. Not sure yet who, but probably Brynn.

Rhys was the first to arrive from his pack, he wagged his tail at Carwyn and asked why he had called him, although the male thought the medic knew. He watched as Rhys introduced himself to Merah, who, in return, did the same. Maybe some of the other members would turn up soon, but where were they? Carwyn shrugged and turned to face Rhys with an informative look on his face.

''I called you here to see Merah. She wanted to meet you.'' He said to him, not wanting to say she is a possible recruit because he knew that he could not make anyone do anything. Just like he could not make anyone in his pack do anything they didn't want to do. That's how he led, through friendships and responsibility, not through fear or aggression. He despised wolves that led through aggression, he preferred to just lead by being friendly and speaking to the others, good communication was key.

The white wolf introduced herself as Merah. Merah right, Merah. Rhys wagged his tail quickly, smiling as he did so. ''Nice to meet you, Merah!'' Rhys called out with a slight play bow to the female. He was quite excited to meet someone new.

Carwyn then explained why he had called them over and Rhys looked at him and nodded in respect. ''Okay, the others should be here soon if you want more than just me?''

Brynn had heard a call from Carwyn, and now he was on his way to see the leader. With a bright smile and a wag of his tail he dashed down the hills and through the forest to reach his pack. And upon arriving he saw Carwyn and Rhys, and a female wolf he did not know yet. Had Carwyn called them to meet this wolf.


''Hi there! I'm Brynn! What's your name?'' Brynn asked as he walked over to the wolves, smiling at the female, before his eyes fell on Carwyn for only a moment. ''Did you call us to meet her, Carwyn?'' he asked the male, and he looked back at the female soon after.


And then Brynn noticed how pure white her coat was, and how her nose was pink. And then he saw her red eyes. Brynn was not afraid of her, he had never seen a wolf like her before but he was not afraid of her. Not at all. He found her quite interesting, and pretty. And Brynn was no wolf to keep his mouth shut. If it was a compliment, he would even scream it, probably. ''Ooooh, you're very beautiful!'' he said to her, his eyes big and filled with curiosity and interest.

Carwyn had called them, and now Jeamesero was on his way to wherever the male was. Once he arrived he noticed Carwyn was there with Brynn and Rhys, and a stranger. Jeamesero had never seen this female before, so he guessed she was here to meet them? Maybe she wanted to join the pack?


''Hey there! Is something up? I'm here.'' he said to Carwyn and the others as he moved closer to them with a smile on his face, his tail wagging. He stood still near Brynn and Rhys and looked at the female, giving her a warm smile. And then he noticed she looked quite weird. She had a pure white coat, but the most outstanding thing was her pink nose and red eyes. Jeamesero had never seen a wolf like that before. But he didn't want to be rude so he simply smiled at her, not wanting to ask questions.
''I'm Jeamesero, but call me Jeames, or Jea. Whatever you prefer. What's your name, miss? Are you here to meet us?'' Jeamesero introduced himself, and he asked her those questions.

Not soon after Carwyn had howled Rhys had arrived, and greeted her. He said it was nice to meet her. He had not mentioned her red eyes. Had he not seen it yet, or did he not want to bother her with it? Merah had no time to find an answer, really, for another male arrived not too long after. A young male with different brown colors on his coat, as well as some cream. He greeted her too, and even said she was pretty. What? He thought she was pretty? Merah? But she was weird and different, how was that pretty...?


''Um, thank you, Brynn...'' she mumbled, not really sure what else to say. She had never really gotten a compliment before from a complete stranger. Especially not upon only just meeting. Her head lifted as yet another male arrived. So far there was not yet any sign of the one female that was part of their pack. Had she not heard the call?


This male also greeted her kindly and with respect, calling himself Jeamesero. Merah gave him a nod, smiling at him weakly. ''Okay, I will call you... Jea.'' she said to him. Merah guessed the others already called him Jeames since it was shorter than Jeamesero, but Jea was even shorter, and it sounded nice. ''My name is Merah. And yes, I'm here to meet you all. Carwyn said he had a pack, and I wanted to see it for myself, so here I am.''
It really looked like a pack; so far it appeared Carwyn had not lied to her. And they were all very nice. Could Merah feel at home here, maybe?
